Foxbeam English Privacy Policy

Foxbeam English for Android · effective October 4, 2026

In short

1. About the app

Foxbeam English is an English course for young primary school children (grades 1–2). This policy explains which data the app uses on the device and how. Developer: Aleksandr Konstantinov.

2. Data received by the developer

The developer does not receive user data. The app has no accounts and does not ask for a name, age, email address, phone number or location. It contains no advertising, analytics, advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs. The app itself does not have the Internet permission and does not send data to the developer.

3. Data stored on the device

So that lessons continue where the child left off, the app stores in its private storage:

The app also keeps a technical log in its private storage: operational events, operation durations, result codes and error information. Spoken and recognized phrases are not written to the log. The log is used for troubleshooting, is limited in size, is excluded from backup and is not sent to the developer. The file is protected by the Android application sandbox.

4. Microphone and speech recognition

In "say it aloud" tasks the child can tap the "Say" button. Only then does the app ask for the microphone permission. The permission is optional: without it, all lessons and tasks remain available except the pronunciation check.

Speech is recognized by the Android system speech recognition service (Google on most devices). The app receives the recognized text, uses it in memory to compare it with the expected word and does not write it to persistent storage. The app itself does not record or store audio. Depending on the device and its settings, the system service may process audio on the device or on its provider's servers, under the service provider's policy — for Google, the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Text-to-speech

English words and phrases are spoken by the Android system text-to-speech engine (usually Google Speech Services). Only the text of course words and phrases is passed to it; no user data is.

6. Backup

Android system backup and transfer of Foxbeam English data to another device are disabled. Learning progress and the technical log are not included in Android cloud backup and are not transferred to a new device. After reinstalling the app or changing devices, learning starts again.

7. Children

The app is designed for children. The developer does not receive their personal data. Parents can revoke microphone access at any time: Settings → Apps → Foxbeam English → Permissions → Microphone.

8. Deleting data

To delete all local app data, uninstall the app or go to Settings → Apps → Foxbeam English → Storage → Clear data. This version of the app does not create system backups, and the developer holds no copies, so no deletion request is needed.

9. Changes

If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its date before releasing that version.
